What Leyfin collects

• Account: your email address, nickname and password (we can never read your password: it is handled by Firebase Authentication).
• Sign in with Google or Apple: if you choose this option, we receive your email address (Apple may offer a hidden address) and your name from Google or Apple. We never have access to your Google or Apple password, or to your other Google or Apple data.
• Your budget data: the expenses (amount, date, note), categories, subcategories, wallets, projects, recurring expenses, savings goals, budgets and the currency you choose.
• On your device only: your display preferences (light or dark mode, last opened view) and your notification choices. Reminders and alerts are created on your phone; nothing is sent to a server for that. The monthly recap, the Excel or CSV export and the recap image are also created on your phone: they only leave it where you choose to send them.
• Purchases: if you upgrade to Leyfin Pro, payment is handled by Apple (or Google). We never receive your card or payment details.

What Leyfin does not collect

• No access to your bank, contacts, location or photos.
• No advertising, no advertising trackers, no usage analytics.

Why

Only to make the app work: sign you in, save your expenses and show them on your phone.

Where the data is

It is stored by Google (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) under your user ID and sent over encrypted connections. Security rules prevent anyone but you from reading or changing it.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data. Google acts as our hosting provider.

How long

As long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your data is erased.

Your rights

• Delete your account and all your data: Settings → My account → Delete my account.
• Get a copy of your data (Excel file or CSV): Settings → Export my data.
• Correct your information: directly in the app.

Children

Leyfin is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated and, for significant changes, the app will let you know.
